Major change, and some bad news.

By Max | 10/04/24

G'day g'day, it's me again.

About time huh, well as you may have read in the title, I've got some news.

Some normal, some bad, so prepare yourself.

So for the bad news to make sense, I'll say the good news first, and the good news is that we've moved suppliers, almost.

Still sitting on the fence, but we're pretty much about to slip over that fence any second now.

We were originally with Printful, and now we're in the process of switching to Apliiq.

Now while Printful did have wonderful user experience and customer service, they just fell short in terms of garment-supply range.

Apliiq just had better t-shirts, t-shirts that Printful didn't have.

So we got better t-shirts now, great right?

Well this comes with a few caveats, cue the bad news:

I'm just gonna put it bluntly (prepare yourself), APLIIQ IS NOT CHEAP.

It's actually ridiculous how much it costs to make these t-shirts, if we kept on charging at our originally planned pricing, we would start to lose money, very quickly.

As mentioned in the last blog post, worst case scenario is that we pretty much become not-for-profit, which to me at least, isn't a huge issue.

However from what we're seeing right now, we're probably going to have to raise the prices a bit, nothing huge, but just enough to break even.

The shipping pricing scenario isn't too great either, it's now based on weight, meaning the more t-shirts you buy, the more shipping will cost, and it's not cheap.*

Now it's not all bad news, after all these t-shirts are literally the best t-shirts on the market, so they will last you,

But even I won't ignore that the initial purchase will hurt a tad, regardless of what you're buying.

Anyway that's all, a bit of a short one today compared to the last post, hope this gave a little insight into how things are going behind the scenes.

TLDR: Switched from old supplier 'Printful' to 'Apliiq', which enables us to provide top of the line quality at the cost of increased prices for both products and shipping.
